Inspect the Slider and Teeth
Examine the zipper teeth along both tracks to confirm none are missing, cracked, or severely bent. Check the zipper slider's side channels with needle-nose pliers; if the metal gap is widened or uneven, gently squeeze the mouth of the slider slightly closed so it grips teeth evenly. Slide the attached pull all the way down to the bottom stop of its remaining track.
